  • Individual Returns

    Returning customers always get the best rate. We offer our lowest fees in February starting at $100 for the simplest of returns. These can be dropped off and picked up the next day. Sit down appointments start at $150 and generally involve face to face interviews, preparation, and a return review. Any returns that take longer than an hour to prepare must be dropped off, and may be reviewed upon pick up. We strive to be by appointment only that we can concentrate on the taxpayers we are working with and stay on schedule. Estimated fees: Average is $250, based on an hours work. Sole Proprietor Returns add $100 Real Estate Rental add $50 per property Certain returns that involve complexity, expertise and research come with an extra fee.

  • Partnership Returns

    Partnership returns are the most complicated form of taxation, but they offer the most flexibility. Our fees generally start at $400 per return based on the $250/hr billing rate. These returns cannot be prepared while you wait and require 24-48 hours for preparation and review.

  • S Corporation Returns

    S Corporation returns are probably the most misunderstood and come with the most risk of compliance issues, preparing these returns quickly requires good bookkeeping and compliance with the reasonable compensation rules. These cannot be prepared in person and take a minimum of 24 to 48 hours to prepare and review.

  • C Corporation Returns

    C Corporations require excellent bookkeeping and payroll compliance. These returns cannot be prepared while you wait, and generally take a minimum of 24-48 hours to prepare and review.

  • Trust & Decedent's Estate Returns

    We prepare Trust and Decedent’s estate tax returns. These returns generally cannot be prepared while you wait unless it is small and all of the documentation is available. These types of returns require an extra level of due diligence, because they tend to be scrutinized by other beneficiaries and the courts. It’s important to make sure we have all the correct information at the start.

  • Estate and Gift Tax Returns

    Few people do Estate Tax or Gift Tax Returns. These are for when the value of a decedents estate is above certain thresholds, which the federal is $11.9 Million in 2019 , and NYS is $5.4 Million in 2019. Gift taxes generally isn’t really as tax to be paid, but forms to be filed that reduce the amounts that can be claimed for estate taxes. These involve gives of over $15,000 per person per year as of 2019.

  • Tax Return Preparation

    We prepare tax returns for individuals, small businesses, trusts and estate, and small not for profit organizations. This includes Sole Proprietors, Partnerships, S Corporations, C Corporations and LLCs (the latter must fit into one of these categories.

  • Tax Account Analysis and Tax Problem Diagnosis

    This is the starting point for most Representation services, and includes a year of Power of Attorney Service or Tax Information. Authorization AND an analysis and report of your Tax Problem and Resolution Alternatives. The product we provide can help us resolve your issues; help you do it yourself; or provide the information to your attorney if you are involved in a Divorce or Bankruptcy.

  • Installment Payment Agreements

    Installment Payments Agreements are fairly straight forward of you can pay what the IRS says you need to pay, If you can’t afford their minimum payment, a lower amount can be negotiated with a financial disclosure. We help prepare that disclosure to create a workable solution. Payment agreement are designed to make sure you pay the full amount due before the tax debt expires. Sometimes paying small amounts create a situation where you only pay a portion of the tax debt due before it expires at the end of its 10 year statute of limitation.

  • Innocent Spouse Relief

    Innocent Spouse involves situations where a married person files a joint tax return and ends up owing taxes on income they didn’t know about. Separating yourself from the joint tax debt involves the innocent spouse claim, which usually must document evidence that the innocent spouse had no knowledge or benefit from the tax deficiency. Successful cases usually involve martial separations and orders of protection. These are complicated cases that take time. We bill at a rate of $200 an hour, but if we get a retainer of $1000 or more we only bill at $150 an hour. Injured Spouse is something different. This involves if your spouse owes a debt you aren’t legally responsible for, such as unpaid student loans, child support, or other legally enforceable refund offsets. The Injured Spouse claim allocates your portion of the refund from the spouses. Protective claims may be filed with the original return, but it slows down the refund. Defensive claims may be filed after an offset within the maximum time allowed..

  • Collection Due Process / Collection Appeals Program

    If the IRS isn’t dealing fairly with collections issues, it is possible to request anCollection Due Process Hearing or Collection Appeal Program. These are powerful resolution tools, but they can inadvertently extend the time the IRS has to collect if not done properly.

  • Freedom of Information Requests

    We will prepare a Freedom of Information Law request from the IRS regarding specific tax information retained by the government regarding your case. The law says the IRS should respond to your request in 21 days, but generally their response is they need more time.. This is a Power way to o train I formation to appeal your cases, or prepare for divorce or bankruptcy.

  • Offers-in-Compromise

    An Offer-In-Comprimise is a way to settle your tax debt for less than the full amount. The minimum offer is based on a mathematical formula and collecting and substantiating certain numbers. It doesn’t work for most people, but those that it does benefit, provide life changing results: an opportunity to start over again fresh. Our initial analysis fee is $350, which helps us determine if you qualify or should seek a different alternative. We won’t take your money for an offer unless we think you have a high probability of success.

  • Lien Release

    The IRS places a a notice of federal tax lien on taxpayers when unpaid taxes real $50,000 or more. They can also issue it at lower amounts at their discretion, if they believe they are in jeopardy of being unable to collect. Tax liens are legally in effect on the day the tax debt occurs, but the actual filing of the notice of tax lien puts the IRS at the head of the line to collect by seizing any assets owned prior to, or obtained after, the tax is assessed. This official notice generally kills consumer credit. Liens generally are not released until the tax is paid, but there are some situation where a withdrawal or release is warranted,

  • Resolve Bank Levies or Garnishments

    Bank Levies and Wage Garnishments usually occur when taxpayers fail to respond to IRS notices. We can negotiate a payment alternative to stop future garnishment and levies, and sometimes even get. Refund of movies taken if it causes a sever hardship.

  • Payroll Tax and Trust Fund Recovery Issues

    If your business pays employees through payroll and fails to turn over the money withheld from your employees paychecks, the key employee may be held responsible for the unpaid tax and penalties. The key person can be the owner, officers, managers, or bookkeeper... anyone with control over what order items get paid. This is a serious tax matter because failing to turnover payroll taxes withheld is akin to theft. We can represent targeted persons and defend them from key person status or help find a collection alternative to resolve the taxes owed.

  • Taxpayer Representation

    We can help you answer those letters from the IRS or NYS even if we didn’t prepare your return. We are experienced in protecting your rights in Audits, Collections, and Appeals. We are experienced in working through the most complicated issues including tax liens, wage garnishment, and innocent/injured spouse relief. We generally charge an hourly rate, but when a retainer is required, we work at a lower rate,

  • Pre-Examination Analysis/Risk Management

    Will will review your audit case with you and give you our impression on resolution. It’s unrealistic to expect to get though an audit without owing something, but we will help identify areas of risk and work to narrow the scope of the exam and mitigate the risk of expansion.its our job to protect your rights as a taxpayer and and either prove your compliance, or get you back into compliance. We often require retainers for these kinds of engagements, and work off the fee at $150/hr.

  • Examination Management

    We stand in your shoes during an audit to minimize the time the taxpayer would have to appear or answer questions directly to the IRS. We have experience managing the exams, compiling, and presenting documents to examiners to help them get through the exam more quickly. Our goal is to get to the finish line doing the least harm. Examination that get stalled often end up expanding and create harsher results. We require a retainer for these services and work off at a rate of $150/hr.

  • Annual Clean-up of Books

    We will review your Profit and Loss Statement and Balance Sheet and correct any obvious error or omissions that we are aware of. Generally we want to make sure wages and employment taxes ties into what is reported to the IRS and remove any personal expenses that may have been charged as a business expense.

  • Bank Reconciliations

    Bank accounts must be reconciled in your accounting system prior to preparing the return. We perform bank reconciliations at your request throughout the year for $45/hr. during tax season the rate increase to $65/hr, we can do these reconciliations fairly quickly if the books are up to what becomes time consuming is if entries are missing.

    We can help get your payroll set up in quickbooks or any other system.
